Photographic artisan Jayme Kelter is a native Arizonan residing in the East Valley of Phoenix, a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Studio Arts and a Minor in Ecology. From a young age, Kelter has been inspired by the natural world, and in particular, the flora and fauna of the Sonoran Desert.
The spectrum of Kelter’s illustratory talent ranges from the familiar and common, to the bold and otherworldly. Kelter portrays his subjects and textures with striking color and flaming clarity, luminous enough to break through the noise and distractions of mundane life. Kelter shows a flair for blending the natural with the unexpected, forging designs onto the substrate that are startling, yet engaging.
Jayme Kelter captures visions of dreamscapes. For many of us, figures such as these pass fleetingly through our minds and are gone forever. Kelter, however, catches these fantasias in his net and uniquely pins them to canvas before they fly away. Kelter’s oeuvre is more than a collection of images; it is an investigation of the beauty of nature that most people long ago forgot how to appreciate.
